This beautiful family home was purchased on the Emerson Park estate in Essex. The brief for this project was to design and build a striking family home which would increase the existing House by 3,500 square ft to provide a new 3 storey 5,500 square ft state of the art home with a detached 2 storey garage with 1st floor gym area. The plans for this project were recently approved and works are planned to commence in Q1 2022.
The challenge with this project was to create a bespoke accessible home in a one-off location. Situated in what once was an ancient woodland on the borders of London and Kent we strove to create a beautiful home whilst maintaining maximum exposure to its incredible natural surroundings. This beautiful modern zinc clad house boasts high-end finishes from top to bottom whilst being designed to create a secluded and safe place to live and work from. No expense was spared on this project from its Shuco glazing systems, large format floor tiles, porcelain tiled bathrooms, wet underfloor heating to the ground floor with electric underfloor heating to the ensuite bathrooms, bifold doors to the master and second bedroom, western red cedar cladding to the balcony area, built in sound system, bespoke sprinkler system, air source heat pumps, German ‘A’ rated appliances and quartz stone worktops to its beautiful Open Plan kitchen area with a huge sliding door to the garden area. Externally there is parking for two vehicles on a bespoke two car turntable driveway which allows vehicles to rotate 360° in either direction to allow easy access and egress from the property. To keep the house secure we installed bespoke aluminium sliding gates which complement the modern exterior look. Feature lighting has been installed to the balcony, garden area and driveway.
This three-bedroom house was purchased and converted into a stunning four bedroom home. Working with a local architect we transformed this house by adding a large rear extension and loft conversion which increased the value by over 100%. Using materials and products which included a bespoke hand-painted kitchen, tiling and bathrooms by Porcelanosa & CP Hart and flooring by Havwoods, Low energy LED lighting, A rated appliances, Silestone worktops, Sonos Built in sound system and a purpose built plantroom. Externally we installed a resin stone driveway with flint stone walls which included up lit Baytrees and black sandstone paving to the rear garden with a high quality artificial grass play area.
